The Chinese government ordered a raid on what turned out to be a hacker training center. PRC law enforcement officers were shocked ---- shocked, to find hacking going on there. These may or may not have been the miscreants responsible for the recent phishing expedition that gained access to thousands of Google customers' email contacts. Like most digitally naive people, I have this probably cliched idea about hackers. I imagine some geeky, developmentally arrested guy, holed up in his mother's basement with stacks of hardware borrowed, stolen, or homemade. But a classroom? Whoa. I am really out of touch.
